Program

The event took place over two days within the EnANPAD 2023 schedule, on the 27th and 28th of September.

It aimed to discuss the process of writing an academic article, as well as the review and publication process. The workshop offered group sessions on the review process and individualized feedback to improve the paper.

We welcomed manuscripts in public administration, public management, nonprofits, public policy, and/or their correlated fields.

 Presentation Guidelines

Participants should prepare a 10-minute presentation of their completed manuscript. Since many in the audience will have read the paper in advance, we ask that you do not present a point-by-point summary of the paper. Instead, please present an overview of the paper. For example, the motivation, the research question, the results, and the contribution. Explain to the audience why the research matters and to whom it is relevant and important. Presentations should be no longer than 10 minutes, to allow for discussion.

Participation:

Were offered 16 spots for participation in this workshop. We prioritize junior faculty, postdoctoral scholars, and senior Ph.D. students in the application process.

To apply, it was required to send a cover letter, a curriculum vitae, and your manuscript or abstract in English (please read the program for detailed information).

PMRA funds:

All 16 accepted participants received a fund to help cover the participant’s expenses to attend the workshop (travel, hotel, etc.)

  • Funding for participants: R$1,000 per participant.

Deadlines:

Paper or Abstract Application until August 15, 2023
Paper Acceptance by August 28, 2023.
Final Paper Submissions September 18th, 2023,
