Virpi Kristiina Tuunainen is Vice Dean for Research and International Cooperation and a professor of information systems science (Department of Information Management and Services) at the Aalto University School of Business, as well as the former director of the Aalto University Service Factory (2010–2015). She was a Jubilee Professor in the Department of Applied IT at Chalmers University of Technology and the University of Gothenburg (Sweden) in 2017. Previously, she was a visiting professor/researcher at the University of Hong Kong, the University of Texas at Austin (USA), Erasmus University Rotterdam (Netherlands), the University of Auckland (New Zealand), Roskilde University (Denmark), and Copenhagen Business School (Denmark).

Her current research focuses on platform economics and AI-based services. Her work has been published in journals such as MIS Quarterly, Information Systems Journal, Journal of Management Information Systems, Journal of Strategic Information Systems, European Journal of Information Systems, and Information & Management, as well as at conferences such as ICIS, ECIS, and HICSS.

She served as Vice President of Publications for the AIS (aisnet.org), former Chair of the AIS SIG Services, and received the AIS Fellow award in 2016.

She currently serves as an editor for the European Journal of Information Systems.

Daniel Cefaï has been Director of Studies at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (EHESS) in Paris since 2010 and a researcher at the Center for the Study of Social Movements (EHESS-CNRS) since 1997. He has been a visiting professor at various institutions, including the Université de Montréal, the University of Chicago, the University of Fribourg, and the University of Buenos Aires. In Brazil, he has taught and given lectures at USP, PUC-SP, UFF, UFRJ, UERJ, UnB, UFSC, and UDESC. He served as president of the association for pragmatist studies, Pragmata, in France and edited the journal Pragmata from 2018 to 2024. His areas of research include the sociology of collective mobilizations and public problems, qualitative fieldwork methodologies—particularly ethnography—and the history of the social sciences in the United States. Currently, he is developing a pragmatist theory of the public aimed at contributing to the sociology of public problems and public action, as well as undertaking analyses of the forces that oppose the realization of democracy.

Martyna Sliwa is Professor of Management and Organisation at the University of Bath School of Management. She is particularly interested in the ways in which different aspects of diversity, such as gender and national and linguistic background, influence individuals’ work experiences and careers, as well as organizational inequalities, power relations and hierarchies. Her research draws on theoretical and methodological insights from the broader social sciences and humanities.

Martyna’s areas of expertise and research interests extend over a range of sub-fields, topics and methodological approaches within management, international business/international management, and organisation studies. In her own leadership and organisation work, she is passionate about making academia more equitable and inclusive, and about supporting the development of early career scholars, especially those who are members of under-represented and minoritised groups. She regularly contributes to professional development workshops and other initiatives aimed at supporting academics, in particular through her involvement in the activities of the British Academy of Management and the (American) Academy of Management.

Robert Phillips is Ruffin Professor of Business Ethics and Professor of Business Administration in the Strategy, Ethics, and Entrepreneurship area at the University of Virginia's Darden School of Business. He has published dozens of scholarly articles appearing in journals such as Philosophy of Management, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Management, Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Management Studies, and Academy of Management Review, among others. He is the author of Stakeholder Theory and Organizational Ethics (2003). He serves as Consulting Editor at Journal of Business Ethics and has held leadership positions in the Academy of Management, the Strategic Management Society, the International Association for Business and Society, and is past president of the Society for Business Ethics.

Sofia A. Johan is an Adjunct Professor of Finance at Florida Atlantic University's College of Business, where she also serves as a Fellow at the Phil Smith Center for Free Enterprise. She is a Visiting Professor at the University of Vaasa's InnoLab and a research associate at the Tilburg Law and Economics Center (TILEC). With extensive academic output—more than 86 articles in leading journals and over 8,000 citations—she has a significant editorial presence, serving as Co-Editor of Venture Capital: An International Journal of Entrepreneurial Finance and as Associate Editor of international journals in management, accounting, and finance. In addition to holding leadership positions in academic associations, she has published six books, including The Oxford Handbook of Hedge Funds, which reflect her extensive contribution to the areas of venture capital and private equity entrepreneurship, crowdfunding, alternative investments, hedge funds, sovereign wealth funds, and international markets.

Wendy Tate is the McCormick Professor of Supply Chain Management and Ray & Joan Myatt Faculty Fellow. She teaches strategic sourcing and sustainability to undergraduate, MBA, executive and doctoral students. She is interested in the financial impacts of business decisions across the supply chain.

Tate specializes in translating academic work into classroom learning activities and disseminating her work globally. Her research can be broadly classified under purchasing but focuses primarily on two types of business problems. The first is in services purchasing, including outsourcing, offshoring and reshoring. The second area is on environmental business practices and understanding how these initiatives can be diffused across a supply chain and a supply network. She presents at many different venues, including both academic and practitioner-oriented conferences and has published research in several top-tier academic journals.

Tate serves as co-editor-in-chief of the Journal of Purchasing and Supply Management. Before receiving her doctorate, she spent 17 years in corporate planning, supply chain management, purchasing and operations management within the furniture industry.

Jean-François Chanlat is Professor Emeritus of Organizational Sciences at Paris-Dauphine PSL University, where he taught from 2001 to 2018. An internationally recognized expert in organizational anthropology and intercultural management, his primary teaching and research interests encompass organizational theory, organizational behavior, organizational anthropology, business sociology, intercultural and diversity management, critical studies, and well-being and ill-being at work. He served as co-scientific director of the “Management, Diversity, and Social Cohesion” Chair from 2011 to 2018, was associate editor of the journal Management International, and serves as a reviewer and member of the scientific committee for numerous national and international journals. 

Matt Thomson is a Professor at the Isenberg School of Management, University of Massachusetts Amherst. He completed his PhD at the University of Southern California and earned other degrees from Indiana University, Bloomington and McGill University. His research interests lie at the intersection of brands, experiences and relationships. He serves as the Marketing PhD Coordinator at Isenberg and as an Associate Editor at the Journal of Consumer Psychology. In 2021, he served as co-chair for the Association for Consumer Research’s annual meeting. In 2025, a paper he co-authored with Debbie MacInnis and CW Park won the Journal of Consumer Psychology’s inaugural Long Term Contribution Award.
